This Lufthansa airlines billboard got us thinking. No matter how many places we see, no matter how many countries we lay our feet on, no matter how much of our bucket list has been ticked off – at no point, can we say “we’ve seen the world”, right?

There’s still so much so see, so much to explore hence here are 5 Reasons Why You Need To Go On A Blind Date With The World:

1. The feelings that are yet to be felt

The best thing about a feeling is that you won’t know what it feels like until you feel it. This is what we call being adventurous with yourself! You tend to condition your mind when you believe that sky diving in Dubai will be thrilling or snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef will be exciting, but are you really being adventurous enough?

If there is a journey that allows you to explore the new, to experience the unknown and to feel feelings that are yet to be felt- that’s enough reason to take that route on and #SayYesToTheWorld.

If you already know what it’s going to feel like – Can you say you’ve seen the world? Not yet! It’s time to go on a blind date with the world.

2. The languages that are yet to be discovered

You can be bilingual or multilingual – you may know French, English, Spanish and German.
But, do you know the language spoken under water?  Where the sea weed talk to jelly fish, where the beach waves talk to penguins and where sea turtles dance to their own music. And, do you know the language of the forest? Where the Langoors call out to the Deer when they see a Tiger approaching or where the hot swoon of the wind talks to the ruffling leaves of the Baobab trees.

#SayYesToTheWorld to experience languages that are undefined, that can nowhere be heard, taught or learnt.

3. The colours that haven’t been named

Is the sky only blue, the sun only yellow and the leaves only green, all across the world?

Schools, teachers, parents will definitely give you these answers, but do you know what the true answer is, to this question?

The world allows you to see and find colours that haven’t been discovered in blue skies, transparent water streams, the pink sun or autumn colored leaves. Colours that are unnamed today but are powerful enough to evoke a feeling or a sensation within you.

4. The people that are yet to be met

We can tell Asians from Americans; British from South Africans; Indians form Mexicans, that is, the differences between races and tribes. While we may have tried to see and learn what they look like – but, can we really say we’ve experienced it all as one big family of the world?

The world allows you to discover more family – like an unfortunate abandoned tribe from the Andaman Islands; The Jarwas. The more we understand people, cultures, traditions around us, the more it makes us a global citizen moving forward with a policy of inclusion.

5. The cultures known yet unknown

While we may have read what each country and their cultures represents, while we may have tried tasting a version of their food in our food, while we have watched their game against ours – but, can we really say we’ve lived their world, truly deeply enough?
